At Manhajie Publishing, the relationship between the human author and artificial intelligence is understood as a supervised collaboration. The author provides the ideas, themes, structure, judgment, values, and final direction of the work. AI tools may help with the legwork of drafting, organizing, revising, or testing ideas, but they do not replace human responsibility. The author reviews, corrects, approves, and remains responsible for the final product.

One way to understand this relationship is by comparison to the relationship between a professor and a graduate assistant. The professor provides the vision, questions, supervision, and final judgment. The assistant may help with research, discussion, organization, and drafting. The work may benefit from this collaboration, but the supervising author remains accountable for what is ultimately published.

We also recognize that some readers, writers, and publishers believe that the use of AI in authoring may reduce the perceived creativity, originality, or human character of a work. We consider this a serious and valid concern. Reasonable people may differ on the proper role of AI in writing and publishing, and we respect those differences.

Our position is that readers have the right to make informed choices, and authors and publishers have the obligation to disclose the nature of their AI use. For this reason, Manhajie Publishing openly acknowledges the role of AI assistance where it is used, while affirming that the human author and publisher remain responsible for the ideas, arguments, accuracy, ethical message, and final form of the work.

Our goal is not to replace human thought, creativity, or scholarship, but to use available tools responsibly in the service of beneficial knowledge, clear communication, and meaningful education.
